NihontoDo Combative Kenjutsu
NihontoDo demonstration by Samurai Sports Singapore at The Heeren, in conjunction with the launch of Ninja Assassin. This is the video of the Combative Kenjutsu portion of the demonstration. Combative Kenjutsu is a high level module of NihontoDo, where sparring is done using shinai (bamboo training swords) and bogu (rigid protective armour). Combative Kenjutsu requires much focus and skill, and mistakes are not easily forgotten due to the harder impact of the shinai. Standing grappling and takedown techniques are also included (not demonstrated). Do visit www.spchanbara.com/samuraisports for more information.
Nais!
Very nice.
The footwork is very impressive.
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
what is that crap???
that has nothing to do with kendo.
some kendo sensei could beat the shit out of them.
they dont even hold the bamboo sword properly and they have hockey gloves instead of the traditional kote.
and who win the match all they do was hitting the sword.
Too bad never show take down and sweep… that will be nice if you do that
This is the worst crap i have ever seen in my life. The guy on the right isn’t even holding his shinai correctly! His left hand is on top of his right hand!!!
This is a tragic insult to kendo and to actual koryu kenjutsu practitioners out there. I pity the public for looking at this side show masquerade…
ahh dear people, this is not kendo. and i urge all to have patience and not type the first thing that comes to mind. this is not an insult to koryu kenjutsu either, for all practitioners must have started somewhere- no one starts of being world class. this is NihontoDo combative kenjutsu and people have feelings too. be respectful. peace
hmm the red gloves has the right footwork… i think… (im a kendoka real one
)
More of the same old crapola. Bash and bash again.
@pqzmfj for your info it has really has got nothing to do with kendo. its kenjutsu. kendo and kenjutsu are 2 different things. the cuts and stuff
