Perhaps it was like that because he was doing it slow and to show how to move the arms.

  2. richardilet says:

But i think “bo” is a special kind of staff, i cant tell wich though…, then it would be here to specify wich kind of staff is used

very nice rotation. but the staff hit the floor a few times cause hes a bit too short XD

i know he’s not a real monk, and he just practices the art of shaolin, but if i were a shaolin monk i would carry a staff with me everywhere i go!

  7. rpdigital17 says:

Right! Bo should be about the heigh of the body.

  8. siulumlion says:

Not as bad as I feared, since he was wearing orange pajamas, but he was weaving his body all around, rather than putting the force into the weapon. My basic observation is the flowinger the robes the weaker the taiji. Yes I know this isn’t taiji.

  9. walatalalaw says:

well, technicaly, the more your clothes flow, the more your body is moving. You can be very stable without moving your body, but you cannot use it’s full power unless it’s moving. Like stone and water

this kind of thing is just for baby learning.

  11. KittenGoneBad says:

Yes. If you want to learn martial arts go to a proper teaching establishement, gym, dojang or whatever.

Trying to learn the martial arts on your own is at best very hard and at worst you will pick up all sorts of bad habits that nobody can tell you about. Till your first fight that is, then they will become obvious.

He’s doing only half of the spin, the hands should be pointed towards each other and you do the action he did only on right on both amrs, so you get more, faster and firmer spin. That’s it.
