@chihuahualoverlol Yeah seriously! I’m surprised they overlooked the step/sliding side kick in kung fu, tae kwon do, and karate. The sidekick they show here looks pretty weak since there’s no utilization of forward momentum or a hip burst, but I’ve seen people get destroyed with this move.

  16. paul6842 says:

side kick is my favorite kick
I can say that cause i do Kung Fu

Those geeks hace to shut up. you don’t know anything about martial arts!

  17. ghost15120 says:

@jacovanlaere 12 years military taekwondo exp. this kick is worthless. its slow and easily defended. a front snap kick can develop more power and speed and if blocked it wont spin you around like a side kick defense would. yes the side kick is very powerful, but is to easy to defend.

  18. ghost15120 says:

@OptimumElephant if you want to become really good at martial arts, stop doing competition styles. competition styles use watered down techniques so critical injury doesnt occur. ITF taekwondo is a great example of this. sloppy techniques executed with no grounded footwork. you should look into ju jitsu, taekwondo or kung fu. traditional only. this will let u learn true martial art techniques designed to injure first hit

  19. MakeYouLaughOutLoud says:

kinda reminds me of a rear horse kick

  20. jaikaransingh says:

@ghost15120 ur comment here absolutely worthless here, not the kick,12 years! Big deal! U can study all ur life and still be foolish enough to come up with comments like that. Every weapon has its place, its not the tool here but the practioner.

  21. ghost15120 says:

@jaikaransingh side kick: to defend block to the side and catch leg place other hand on top of foot, twist, opponent is now off balance, pull, opponent is now on ground.
front kick: block from above will break your arm, block from the side leaves you open for a counter kick, block from the bottom leaves you open for a counter.

front snap is one of the best kicks because if the person executing the kick knows what they are doing its near impossible to do a permanent defense of it.

  22. jaikaransingh says:

@ghost15120 I can visualize what u are saying, but that is not correct! First off they are two diff kicks, thus the stragems for utilization are not the same AT ALL. Its like the jab and the cross in boxing, they cant be used the same way no matter how or what. One can adopt elementary similar uses but thats it. Who has been side kicking you? Old ladys? ive been competing in a few places in the world in various weight classes with elite level guys since 97. Ive landed and koed both those kicks
