Does anyone have any martial arts classes that they can recommend in Maryland?

I live in the Baltimore area, but I am willing to travel up to an hour from Baltimore for a quality martial arts class. Please include links to websites and/or contact information/phone number with your answers. There are many choices in the area, and frankly it is quite overwhelming. Recommendations of schools to check out and/or schools that should be avoided are appreciated.

Thanks.

Sensei Scandal is correct. I knew Peter Polander while I was living in Northern VA. He is top notch. The drive will be worth your time.

Oh, btw Peters dojo is in Bethesda, MD.

Search youtube for Peter Polander – alot of his video is in Polish but you will get an idea of what true Karate is.

He is a student of Taika Seiyu Oyata.

You have quite a few schools in your area.

Sup bro! I’m glad you’re taking up Martial Arts. If you are willing to travel to Alexandria, Virginia/Old Town for classes thee is Capital Jiu-Jitsu. They teach Kids MMA, Yoga, She’s Safe, Muay Thai, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, and Cross-Fit. This club is extremely good in my opinion and have top-of-the-line equipment, including being sponsored by Fairtex, the world leader in fighting equipment.

    Check it out at http://www.gracieva.com

There is also a dude named Tarek, Tarek opened up a Freestyle Martial Arts Academy, Capital Martial Arts: 822 G Rockville Pike, Rockville MD, with his long time instructor and mentor, Khaled Saleh.

Don’t know about the place since I haven’t been there, but make up your mind and check it out.

    Good luck.
